About Us

OVER 45 YEARS OF GOD’S FAVOR
God has bought the Grace Fellowship Ministries Church a mighty long way down through the years.  We have grown from the little church which was started in the home of Sister Willie Mae Thomas in 1964 to a thriving congregation doing a service for the Lord.

Our Mission

To be a soul winning church as a pattern of good works which will inspire others to know Jesus Christ as their savior.

What We Believe

The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God: written by the Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. II Peter 1:20-21.

There is one God who is infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purpose: omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. We believe that He was revealed to us, Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Spirit in His comforting grace that never leaves those who trust in Him. I Corinthians. 8:6; Eph. 4:6; II Corinthians. 5:19; Joel 2:28.

In Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; for it pleased the Father that in Him should all the fullness dwell. Col. 2:9; Col. 1:19. In the virgin birth; Jesus was both human and divine. God manifest in the flesh.. St. Matt. 1:23; I Tim. 3:16.

We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. We believe that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago, and is still filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today. Acts 2:14.

We believe in water baptism (by immersion) in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This constitutes the new birth. Acts 2:4, 38.

Meet The Pastor

James G Belle

Suffragan Bishop

Pastor James G. Belle was born October 23, 1949 in Abington, Pennsylvania. When he was six months old, his family moved to Springfield, Ohio. He was educated in the Springfield public school system and graduated from ...

...Springfield South High School.

He has been married to First Lady Frances Elaine Jackson Belle forty (47) years. They are the parents of three lovely daughters, Debra Taylor (Matthew), Nichole, and Christina Jordan (Nathan). They have four precious grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

He is a graduate of Central State University with a B. S. in Business Administration (Marketing). He served in the U. S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran.

On January 31, 1970 he gave his life to Jesus Christ at the Church of Jesus in Springfield, Ohio. He acknowledged His calling to the ministry and preached his first sermon on April 28, 1975, First Lady Belle’s birthday. In 1976, his pastor Bishop Cecil A. Pratt appointed him to be his Assistant Pastor. He served in that capacity faithfully for nine years.

He was offered a promotion and a transfer to Los Angeles, California by the Hobart Corporation in 1985. After seeking direction from God, he accepted believing God had a work for him to do in California.

He became a member of the Greater Bethany Community Church under the pastorate of the late Bishop Robert W. McMurrary serving on the Pastoral Staff and Chairman of the Men’s Ministry.

In January 1987 he was selected as Pastor of The Moreno Valley First Apostolic Faith Church. The Lord has blessed the church over the last twenty – nine (29) years. The Church has many active ministries and in April, 2006 underwent a $675,000 renovation program. Everything structurally was changed except the outside walls. “We have come this far by faith.”

Suffragan Bishop Belle will be celebrating 30 years of Pastoring in January, 2017. In March, 2016 after several years of seeking direction from the Lord, the Church changed its name to Grace Fellowship Ministries. It was felt that this name more clearly defined the mission of the Church. “Spreading the saving message of Grace through ministry to bring souls into fellowship with Jesus Christ.”

Suffragan Bishop Belle has not only been successful in the ministry, he has also been successful in the secular world, having twenty years (20) of professional working experience. This experience includes:

  • National Bank Examiner , Office of The Comptroller of the Currency
  • Traveling Auditor, Delco Products, General Motors Corporation
  • Sales/Service Center Auditor, Hobart Corporation
  • Office Supervisor, Hobart Corporation
  • Account Representative, Transworld Systems Inc.
  • Sr. Vice President and Loan Manager, Riverside County Federal Credit Union
  • Assistant Treasurer, California District Council, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World
  • Treasurer, California District Council, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World

Suffragan Bishop Belle is currently the Chairman of the Southern California District Council Region #4

Frances Elaine Belle

First Lady

Frances Elaine Belle was born on April 28, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio. She is the seventh of nine children, born to Jasper and Callie Mae Jackson (both deceased). She also has a twin brother, LaFrance (Pete) Jackson. ...

Her family moved to Springfield, Ohio, where she was educated and graduated from Springfield South High School in June 1967. She attended Central State University and The Springfield Community Hospital School of Nursing.

On January 30, 1972 she was baptized in Jesus name, and received the Holy Ghost in May, 1972 at The Church of Jesus in Springfield, Ohio.

Determined to do the will of the Lord, Sister Belle immediately started working in the church.

Sister Belle has been a faithful help-meet to her husband through the years. Always putting God first in her life has made it easy for her to stand beside and with her husband through all the spiritual decisions he has had to make. It wasn’t easy for her to leave Springfield and move to California, because she had to leave her natural and spiritual family.

In January, 1987 she became the First Lady of Moreno Valley First Apostolic Faith Church. Since that time she has spent numerous hours doing whatever her hands could find to do to help promote the Ministry of the church. She works closely with all the auxiliaries and is currently functioning as the Church Administrator.

God has blessed us with a first lady whose desire is to be used of God. We praise God for our First Lady.

Our History

Elder Samuel Evans

It all started when Sister Willie Mae Thomas and her daughter Sister Edith Rediford moved their two families to Perris, California in the summer of 1964. As the church outgrew the home of Sister Thomas, Elder Samuel Evans was selected pastor. The church was officially named Macedonia Apostolic Church and was relocated in the Meadowbrook area of Perris. As growth dictated in April, 1967 a building was purchased on Highway 74. Because of the location the church was known as the Little Ole Church On A Hill.

Elder Claudie Williamson

Elder Claudie Williamson co-pastored the church along with Sister Willie Mae Davenport until 1977. In the fall of 1981 Elder Williamson moved the church to Sunnymead, California. The name of the church was changed to First Apostolic Church of Sunnymead. The church continued to prosper under the leadership of Elder Williamson until he was called home to be with the Lord December 25, 1982.

Elder James Newman

In 1985 the city of Sunnymead changed its name to Moreno Valley. This precipitated a change in the church's name to Moreno Valley First Apostolic Faith Church. Under the leadership of Elder Newman, the church was relocated in 1986 to 24084 Postal Ave., its current location. At that time the church occupied one-fourth of the building (3,700 square feet) which is currently the main sanctuary.

Suffragan Bishop James G. Belle

The church has continued to grow and prosper under the leadership of Suffragan Bishop James G. Belle. In 1998 we purchased our building, a 12,400 square foot facility. In 2006 because of the demands of the ministry our building has been completely renovated. The cost of the project was over $700,000 and everything has been changed except the outside walls. On March 7, 2016 we changed our name from Moreno Valley First Apostolic Faith Church to Grace Fellowship Ministries. It was felt that the new name was more relevant to our mission in ministry, sharing the message of Grace to promote fellowship with Jesus Christ. We have come this far by faith. From the Little Ole Church On A Hill to The Church In The Heart Of The Valley With The Valley In Its Heart. Down through the years God has been good to us.
